Herbal Shampoo -Home Made , It is very important to clean dirt and the secretion of sebaceous glands which accumulate on the scalp. You should not use ordinary soaps or detergent to clean your hair. Always use a proper shampoo according to your hair type to wash hair. The process of shampoo is divided in two portions so that you lather twice and rinse after each

lather. Rinse thoroughly with plenty of water until no trace of shampoo remains in the hair. There is a large variety of liquid shampoo available in the market. But you can easily make shampoo at home which is suitable to your hair. Here we discuss how to make shampoo at home.

Shampoo Recipes

Egg Shampoo

Egg has always been the favorite of the beautician because of it is rich in protein. Beat two eggs by adding a glass of hot water. Strain and massage the hair and scalp. Let it stand for an hour. Wash your hair with warm water.

Gelatin Shampoo

Gelatine is a translucent, colorless, brittle (when dry), tasteless solid substance, derived from the collagen inside animals’ skin and bones. To make shampoo take one tablespoon unflavored powder gelatin. Add one egg and one tablespoon any shampoo available. Beat for sometime. Its ready to use. The protein in gelatin and egg makes the hair healthy and lovely.

Olive and Shikakai (Acacia Concinna) Shampoo

This herb shampoo leaves your skin soft and shiny. Take 200 gm of dried olive and 200 gm of shikakai  (Acacia Concinna) in cold water. Leave it for a night in an iron vessel so that the herb can absorb iron. In the morning boil them for 30 minutes. Blend it thoroughly and use as a hair shampoo.

Reetha (Soap nuts) and Shikakai (Acacia Concinna) and Amla (Gooseberry) Shampoo:

Soak overnight 100gm each of dried amla, shikakai (Acacia Concinna) and reetha in two glass of water. Boil them . When it cools, strain and use as a shampoo to get beautiful hair. Good for all hair type.

Health Shampoo

Take amla,(Gooseberry) and reetha ( Soap nuts) and shikakai ( Acacia Concinna) and nagarmotha (cypriol) and multani mitti, and mehandi (Hina) in equal quantities. Soak all these herbs in water for a night. Then, make a  non-dripping paste. Apply it on your hair. Keep for sometime then wash your hair with luke warm water.  This is one of the best hair wash. It keeps the hair healthy and problem free.

Shikakai (Acacia Concinna) shampoo

Take the following ingredients:

  • Shikakai  pods (Acacia Concinna) 
  • Fenugreek seeds, also known as, methi seeds
  • Lime peel(dried)
  • Curry leaves(dried)
  • Amla(dried (Gooseberry)
  • Green grams

Make fine powder of each of the above ingredients. Then mix them well. Preserve the powder in a tight lid container. Now every time you wash your hair, take one tablespoon of this powder and mix with water. Use it like a shampoo.

 Reetha (Soap nuts)

Soap nut-The name itself contains the use of it.  Dry soap nuts in sun light. Then deseed them and powder them. Soak three teaspoon powder overnight. Strain the mixture in the morning to remove the soap nuts.  Now massage the left out liquid on your scalp well. Notice when you massage it, a little bit lather is formed. Then wash it properly with water. Do not allow the shampoo to get into your eyes. It may cause eye burning.

Regular use of soap nuts shampoo makes the softer and shinier. It stop hair loss, and promote the growth of new hair.

Herbal Shampoo

Take

  • 200 grams dried olive
  • 200 grams of shikakai beans.(Acacia Concinna)

Wash the above herbs properly. Now take an iron utensil and soak the herbs in water for a night. Next morning, boil them for 15 minutes and strain. Make a paste of the left out flesh of the herbs. Use the paste to wash your hair. this shampoo leaves your hair soft and shiny.
